A keen tree climber and cyclist in her youth, she now burns off energy teaching yoga, dancing and walking and snwshoeing her border collie Jasper. A regular columnist for her local newspaper, the Bugle-Observer, since 2006, Brigitte has freelanced for regional and national publications including The United Church Observer. Brigitte had always wondered what it would be like to move to Canada from England, after her family tried to emigrate there when she was nine. Moving to New Brunswick in 2005 finally helped answer that question, and provided inspiration for her first children's chapter book, Kit and the Calico Cat. Brigitte is currently working on a sequel.
