Worked in Iran 5 years from 1974-1979.Was briefly taken hostage during the 1979 revolution and stayed on 5 months after. First travelle to Iran alone at 16 in 1966 and spent summer there. Last visited in 2008 summer. Author has written 5 books. First one Tales from the Zirzameen is about his personal experiences in Iran. Second one Shamshone; Sun of Assyria is about the Assyrian Christian minority in iran as told through the eyes of one family for five generations. Two volumes of Poetry: "1000 Years at the bottom of a well; reflections of a soul" and "Another Thousand Years" and one childrens book of the early Greek myths illustrated by the author, narrative by his late mother.
