Brenda Walker BeadenkopfAuthor and Quaker historian Brenda Walker Beadenkopf is passionate about spreading the positive message of her father's work during the American Civil Rights Movement. She has spoken and led workshops about the Quakers and the role of nonviolence in rotests during the 1940s, '50s and '60s. Using conferences, Black churches, Black History events, diversity luncheons, after-school programs and other venues in the United States and Kenya, she tirelessly works to promote her father's activist legacy and improve race relations throughout the United States. Beadenkopf graduated from Southwestern Michigan College's journalism program with 4.0 GPA and was featured on SMC's first Wall of Fame. Award-winning editor of the Berrien County Record newspaper in Buchanan, Michigan, she has been published in Friends Journal, Guideposts, and Highground.
