Bonnie Gates WindleBonnie Gates Windle grew up in rural Alabama on a small family farm and learned early to love God's creation. Her favorite spot today is looking out her kitchen window at the dogs, cats, chickens, beautiful birds and the squirrels at play. That is whre her desk is located and where she works and continues her reading through the Bible. She has a strong love for God, family and people. Having had the opportunity to meet people in national settings, her worldview is broader than it might have been. She has been a passionate reader since she was twelve years old, and much of that reading has given her a greater love for God and for His mission work. Having spent over forty years in a legal office, she used most of her vacation time in mission work, often in Brazil, and other times in local and North American missions. The new federal women's prison in Aliceville, Alabama, has opened a new field of service for area residents, and she has been active in that work and hopes to continue to minister there. She has two children, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Having recently lost her husband of sixty-one years, she has entered a new phase of life and continues to seek God's direction.
