Bob SillerHe was less than a year when his parents left the northern rural town of Richwood, Louisiana in search of better employment and living conditions in 1944. Their search led them to Alameda, California an Island city in the Bay Area. Like the majority f African American families, their family was held together with love, faith, determination, and a desire to make the best of any given situation. From this life style he developed a character of goodwill from his mother and the strength of his father to support this goodwill. Even though he was brought up in a Christian home, he was more into the present than the hereafter.
