Bj MeltonBuster Jack Melton or B.J Melton was born in 1925 and became a child of the great depression. He inherited his work ethic from his dad and at the age of 12, he got a job sweeping out the local dry goods store at 6 a.m that takes an hour and is paid $.00 for 6 days. In 1942. at age 16 B. J. graduated from Merkel High School. He turned 18 in October of 1943 and joined the navy. When he got discharged, he returned to Texas Tech and pursued Electrical Engineering.
