Fleeing her country, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Bitisho arrived in the United States with her husband, three children, the cothes on their back, and $100. Through incredible determination, grit, and strength of character, Bitisho built a new life with her husband and family, which is evident throughout her true story. An advocate of education, Bitisho plans to start an education program in Africa, build libraries and schools for low-income students, and help them get an education.
