Before his retirement, he served in the Indian Audit and Accounts Department. Later, in the year 1974, the author shifted in Imphal City, the state capital of Manipur as his permanent residence. He has made a significant mark as a literary figure, widely recognized for his impactful writings that have graced both local and national newspapers. He was a film and theatre critic.As a prolific and versatile writer, he has created literary works in short stories, poetry, and also as a lyricist, showcasing his diverse talents. His journey as a novelist began in his teens in 1975 with the publication of his first novel, "The Farewell Cloud," within the framework of his local dialect. His second book published on August 2024 under the title, "Prescriptions for Happiness" in English medium for national and international readers is a collection of humorous talks in day to day life. This book titled "My Second Wife," containing 40 short stories is based on true stories confronted by the author in the way of life.
