Bin GaoBin Gao is a professor in the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering at the University of Florida (UF), USA. Prior to this he was a research associate at Cornell University and a postdoctoral research associate at Yale University. He erned his Ph.D. degree in Environmental Engineering at Cornell University in 2003. His B.S. Chemistry and M.S. Environmental Chemistry degrees were received from Nanjing University, China. Prof. Gao's research focuses on biochar technology, environmental nanotechnology, and contaminant fate and transport. He has an extensive list of publication in the field of environmental contamination. Prof. Gao has received numerous professional honors including the UF Research Foundation Professorship, Gamma Sigma Delta Junior Faculty Award of Merit, Bioresource Technology Best Paper Award 2015 (Elsevier), Certificate of Top Cited Papers for 2011 and 2012 in Chemical Engineering Journal (Elsevier), Outstanding Young Researcher Award (FL Section ASABE), Giglia Endowment Award and NSF CAREER Award. .
