However, because of his passion for journalism, he left the lucrative job to make forays into journalism. He initiated a career in journalism as TV journalist as an anchor, script writer, video editor and reporter. Subsequent to this he joined the Hindustan Times. Later he moved on to Punjab Kesari. As a columnist, he contributed to the Tribune, the Hindustan Times and Daily Post. In 2016, he joined Tehelka as a Principal correspondent. He was also a regular writer for Press Club magazine.
