She holds anundergraduate degree in English Literature from Boston University, an M.S.W. from New York University and trained as a psychonalystwith the New York Institute for Psychoanalytic Self Psychology. She also received training in London where she worked on a teachingproject under the auspices of the Tavistock Clinic and its Institute of Marital Studies.
