Beverly BowmanBeverly Anne Bowman attended Appalachian State University where she earned her degree in English with a concentration in literature. After graduating, Beverly became a flight attendant for Piedmont Airlines and began a career that lasted thirty-five ears. At age forty-nine, Beverly decided to continue her education and enrolled at Gardner-Webb University. She simultaneously acquired her bachelor's and master's degrees in elementary education. Beverly retired from flying in 2017 and is now a teacher. She sees her students as her greatest inspiration for writing children's books. She enjoys reading, writing, taking continuing education courses, and spending time with friends. Beverly has one son, Austin, who wrote countless books starting at the age of three about two fictional characters named Leaky and Buck. While she transcribed his stories before he was able to write, he taught her how to see the world through the eyes of a child. Beverly resides in Denver, North Carolina with her dog, Lulu.
