And when she was a teenager, her grandfather handed her a gold signet ring that belonged to his grandmother, thus sparking her passion for famly history. For close to fifteen years she wrote a column called Living Country in an English language newspaper north of Montreal, called Main Street, where she shared everyday stories about raising her three sons with her hubby in a log cabin on a lake. She also wrote articles about genealogy and how people could start building their own family trees. Since then, she's written in various genres, mostly for fun, but have found her niche-genealogy mysteries.
