Bernard S WilsonBernard S. Wilson is a retired University lecturer. He holds a BD (Hons) from the University of London and an MA in Education from the University of Leeds.Wilson's interest in the subject of Mary Elmes and her work arises from the fact that for sevenyears he undertook the research which eventually led to the discovery of details showing that she saved Jewish children from deportation at the risk of her life. One of these children, Professor Ronald Friend of Portland Oregon, then presented this information to Yad Vashem in Jerusalem which resulted in Mary's posthumous honor as Righteous among the Nations in 2014.Wilson contributed to the documentary film It Tolls for Thee and was consulted by Clodagh Finn at every stage of the writing of her book A Time to Risk All.
