Bernadette Marie PadgettAuthor Bernadette Padgett was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ to her single mother Kathryn Padgett. Bernadette was always very ambitious and excelled academically often making straight A's throughout her education. Growing up she was involved in sport; she played softball and was also a cheerleader for her brother's popwarner football team. Bernadette's cheer squad The Pythons won 1st place for National Cheer Competition which is a very exciting and a memorable accomplishment in her younger year!. Ms Padgett started working in the administrative field at the young age of 15 landing her first job in a primary doctor's office as a file clerk. From there she gained experience as a receptionist and administrative assistant at various companies including corporate offices, and Attorney offices. She also developed her mothers senior placement agency and helped get her company off the ground through her business development and advertising and marketing creativity and skills. Bernadette also graduated from Classic Beauty College in 1997 becoming a licensed Nail Technician, and in 2007 she graduated from SMTC with a 3.8 gpa in Medical Coding. She always loved the art of writing and self expression and began her journey with writing poetry when she was just 19 years old. She made a collection of her work which lead her to writing her first book in 2020: Purpose Driven Free To Be Unapologetically Me. This is an outstanding accomplishment for Ms Padgett as she always aspired to write her book to help and inspire others through her many difficult life challenges including a traumatic childhood. Bernadette hopes her book will touch many lives and provide comfort through various life challenges, give a voice to the forgotten, provide hope, strength, and the comfort that even though life is filled with ups and downs if you believe in yourself and never give up on your dreams you can accomplish anything!
