Benjamin CarpBenjamin Carp is Associate Professor of History at Tufts University. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Virginia in 2004. He teaches classes on the colonial period, the Revolutionary period, the Early Republic, antebellum America, the CivilWar, and Reconstruction and also courses that focus on the history of Revolutionary Massachusetts, on the Revolutionary experience in American cities, and on American military history before 1900. Carp's first book, Rebels Rising: Cities and the American Revolution was published in 2007.
