Benazir PatilBorn in India in 1974 to Abida and Khalid Kadri, Benazir spent her childhood with her grandparents Zaibunnisa S. Syed and S Samadali. Syed, a former Member of Parliament. Benazir's schooling took place in different parts of Maharashtra state. After gaduating from Fergusson College, Pune, she proceeded to study at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, finally receiving her PhD in Public Health Policy from Pune University.
