Ben MarneyI've been blessed to spend most of my life traveling the globe, meeting interesting people, and seeing incredible things along the way. Although my novels are works of fiction, they are based on real people I've met and the fantastic places I've been For over four decades, my wife Dana and I have toured the world as professional singers and entertainers. We have performed in bars, nightclubs, theaters, and on major cruise lines, including Disney, Princess, NCL, RCCL, Holland America, and Oceania. Throughout our career, we have owned a nightclub and a music theater, charted three records in Billboard's Top 100, and opened for 12 major stars, including Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Hank Williams Jr., David Allen Coe, Rich Little, and Larry Gatlin and The Gatlin Brothers. I've also had a successful voice-over career, voicing thousands of radio and television commercials and narrating three national television shows for the Discovery, Destination America, and Sportsman networks. I was also the host and narrator of "Freebird; Lynyrd Skynyrd Southern Rock Channel" on SiriusXM radio in 2018 and 2019. I began writing poetry as a teenager to impress girls. Since then, I've written hundreds of songs, published my first novel, Sing Roses for Me, in 2013, and am now working on my ninth book. I am honored that two of my novels, An August Harvest and Another Lifetime Ago, won the 2020 and 2021 MAXY Award for Best Romance. Additionally, Another Lifetime Ago won the 2020 Page Turner Awards for Screen Adaptation. I have also written a collection of autobiographical short stories about my extraordinary life called Lyrics of My Life. My novels are partly truth and partly fiction, based on my years in the music business, including events I've experienced and many vivid memories of my world travels. Read More Read Less
