Barry Ruhl was an Ontario Provincial Police Officer for 30 years. After his retirement, he continued to work with the OPP as a counsellor for other officers dealing with substance abuse and post traumatic stress issues. He has a BA in Sociology from University of Waterloo and a BSW (Hons.) from York University and he and his wife Pat live in a small Ontario town on the shore of Lake Huron.
