Barry R WatermanThe late Barry Robert Waterman was born in Ottawa, Canada, in 1960 (the year of the rat). He was educated at the Priory Private School, Kingston, Jamaica; Hillcrest High School; and the universities of Ottawa and Acadia. In 1982, he was awarded an Onario Arts Council grant for his play Gelded Fortune. From 1985 to 1987 he served with World University Services of Canada in Tashigang, Bhutan, South Asia. In addition to his theatre and prose fiction, Mr. Waterman has also written several songs for the stage and screen, most recently for the telefilm Love and Defection.
