Since first grade. Her first short story. An action thriller. After much beging, her mom allowed her to walk to school alone one day. Only two blocks away. She was just 6. She had this feeling she was being followed. She was so happy to make it to school alive! For her class assignment, she wrote of her walk to school alone being kidnapped by a masked man! He took her to a scary apartment. She asked to go to the bathroom. He let her. She locked the door and slipped out the window down a fire escape to safety! Barbra's teacher was so impressed with her story of such detail, imagination and creativity, she asked her to read it to the class. Still a vivid memory.
