Barbara KaplanBarbara Kaplan, MSN, RN, is currently an Instructor at the Emory University Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing and the Co-Director of the Veteran Affairs Nursing Academic Partnership program. Over her 41-year career, Kaplan's focus has been on udergraduate teaching, inclusive of the faculty team for the Leadership Scholars Program and mentoring of student projects within this course and other clinical courses. As one of the founders of the multifaceted simulation lab at Emory University, she served as the Lab Coordinator for many years, where her expertise lies in simulation design, implementation and evaluation, lab schematics, and faculty consultation. Kaplan has led simulation workshops at the international level, training students, interprofessional teams, and healthcare practitioners.
