Bandita NayakBandita Nayak came to the US in 1972. She has an M.A. degree in Applied Economics from Utkal University and an M.S. degree in Agricultural Economics from University of Maryland, College Park. Her work experience includes at institutions such as the Aency for International Development (AID) and Westat. She retired from Westat in 2014, after spending about 23 years there. Her work experience includes Social Science Research with applications in Health Sciences. After her retirement she devoted her time editing two Odia books. For last 4 years she has been working on her travelogue Desha Bideshara Pathaprante. Besides travelling she enjoys listening to Indian vocal and instrumental classical music and singing Odia and Hindi songs, particularly Odissi songs.
