Bakmutov V GDr Bakhmutov is currently the head of the Geological and Geophysical department of National Antarctic Scientific Center of Ukraine. In his over 30 years of experience, he has worked both as an engineer and as a geophysical researcher for the Institut of Geophysics of the National Academy of Sciences of the Ukraine. His areas of interest are: geophysics, geomagnetic field, palaeomagnetism, geodynamics, palaeosecular variations, rock magnetism, magneto-stratigraphy, Quaternary geology, geomagnetic observatory Survey, geomagnetic field and climate changes, Solar - Earth relationship and electromagnetic precursors of earthquakes.
