B M OwensB.M. Owens is a poet and essayist who grew up in South Florida and has recently created a new home in Bellingham, Washington. Owens received her MFA in poetry from Florida International University where she also sat as Poetry and Creative Non-FictionEditor for the Gulf Stream Magazine. Her own work has been published in Salamander, Pittsburgh Poetry Journal, O, Miami's Waterproof Anthology, Small Orange Journal, South Florida Poetry Journal, Silk Road Review, Jeopardy Magazine, and Hawaii Pacific Review. Owens was a finalist for the 2022 Academy of American Poets Prize and has been nominated for both Best New Poets and the Pushcart Prize.
