B K SahuB. K Shahu, A pioneer teacher of Mathematical Geology, he was educated at Ravenshaw College, Cuttack; and at lIT Kharagpur, obtaining his B.Sc. Honours (1956) and M.Tech. (1958) degrees. ATCM fellow at University of Wisconsin, Madison (USA); he earne Ph.D. (Geology) in January 1962. A distinguished teacher at Punjab University, R. E. College, Raurkela; and lIT Bombay (1976-97); where he is currently the Emeritus Professor for life. He was awarded Bhatnagar Prize (CSIR, 1980) and Silver Medal (SGAT, Bhubaneshwar, 1981).
