B C TripathyDr Bankim Ch. Tripathy received his Ph.D. degree from Utkal University, India in 2000. He is currently Senior Principal Scientist in CSIR-Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology under DSIR, Ministry of Science and Technology and Professor, Faclty of Chemical Sciences, Academy of Scientific & Innovative Research (AcSIR), India. He did his postdoctoral in Department of Chemistry, Murdoch University, Australia and MINTEK, South Africa. He has over 20 years of research experience in the field of extractive metallurgy, waste recycling, and synthesis of nano materials for energy storage applications. He has visited many International Universities and Research Organisations in Canada, Mexico, South Africa and Australia in various capacities and has developed collaborations with them. He has been awarded with the prestigious Sir C.V. Raman Fellowship by CSIR and visited the Department of materials Engineering, University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada where. He was nominated as an international expert in Hydro & Electrometallurgy to review a project sponsored by Conacyt Research Mexican Agency and visited CINVESTAV Research Center in Saltillo, Mexico as a Visiting Professor. He has published more than 90 research articles in various peer reviewed National and International Journals of repute. He is a regular reviewer of Journals from Elsevier, ACS, Springer, Taylor and Francis. He has got 3 national and 2 international patents to his credit. He has been awarded with the National Societal Innovation Award by National Research Development Corporation (NRDC), New Delhi for his work on the production of alum from waste aluminium dross residue which was commercialised and an Industry was set up which was first of its kind in India.
