Ay ChanAY Chan is the winner of the 2018 SCBWI Work-in-Progress Grant and the SCBWI North and East Bay's 2018 Diverse Creator Scholarship Award. She holds a black belt in Taekwondo and trained in four other martial arts: Wing Chun, hapkido, Muay Thai, and cpoeira--and is a first-generation Chinese Canadian. AY is the cofounder and head writer for Peekapak, a Y Combinator-backed education technology company using stories to teach children character development skills.
