He was previously professor of Decision Sciences at the University of Arizona and associate profesor of Industrial Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has a PhD and an MS in industrial engineering and operations research from the University of California at Berkeley, an MA in mathematics from California State University-Long Beach, and a BS in mathematics from Pennsylvania State University.
