Ata M Khan

Ata M KhanAta M. Khan is a professor emeritus in Civil and Environmental Engineering at Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada. His research interests focus on intelligent systems, automation in driving, policy and planning, and safe, efficient, and sustainable tansportation. This research is being applied to urban and multimodal transportation. His honors and awards include the Lifetime Achievement Award, Canadian Institute of Transportation Engineers CITE and Carleton University Academic/Research Award, Fellowship of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), and Fellowship of the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering. He has carried out research/consulting projects for the United Nations; federal, provincial, and municipal governments in Canada; and private sector companies/societies in the USA, Japan, and Canada.
