Ashkan MowlaDr. Ashkan Mowla is a clinical assistant professor of interventional neuroradiology at the University of Southern California. He is a double board-certified neurologist with fellowship training in stroke and cerebrovascular diseases and interventiona neuroradiology. Dr. Mowla did his residency in neurology at the Houston Methodist Neurological Institute where he served as the chief resident in his final year. He then completed his fellowship in stroke and vascular neurology at the University of Michigan Hospital, Ann Arbor, MI. Upon completion of the fellowship, he was recruited as an assistant professor of neurology at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, State University of New York at Buffalo, Buffalo, NY where was actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows as well as residency and clerkship curriculum development. During his time in Buffalo, he received the medical school's prestigious Louis A. and Ruth Siegel award for excellence in teaching twice in 2014 and 2016. He has been widely published since.
