Asa B ColemanAsa, a trailblazer and change agent, is the co-founder and executive director of Coleman Preparatory Academy, an HBCU-inspired private school providing a new branch of educational excellence to Louisville, KY. She is a native of Norfolk, VA by way ofWashington, D.C. where she graduated from Howard University with a bachelors in Legal Communications. Asa has a love for historically black colleges and universities (HBCU) and proudly boasts her alma mater. She is also a product of two HBCU grads, Norfolk State University (mother) & Tuskegee University (father). She is a mom of two, Terry & Talia, and credits her children for her drive and determination.She holds a masters in Educational Psychology, a certificate in Women's Entrepreneurship and is pursuing a doctorate in Educational Leadership and Organizational Development. Much of her educational experience was served as a teacher, coordinator, and administrator. Her past positions include those in the classroom and out, but always focused on the achievement of students and dispelling myths believed of them.
