Arun Thirumurugan

Dr. Arun Thirumurugan is an assistant professor at the University of Atacama, Chile, working on the development of magnetic nanocomposite for energy storage and biological applications. He has completed his PhD (2010-2015) from the National Institte of Technology (NIT), Tiruchirappalli, India. He has worked as a postdoctoral fellow (2015-2017) at the Institute of Physics, Bhubaneswar, India, and then worked as a FONDECYT postdoctoral fellow (2017-2020) at the University of Chile. His research interests are synthesis and surface modification of nanomaterials for potential applications in detoxification, photocatalyst, energy storage, and biomedical applications. He is also working on flexible energy storage device fabrications.
