Artemis ShawArtemis Shaw was born in Brooklyn, NY but grew up in a small town nestled amongst the Catskill Mountains in upstate NY. Like most little children he wanted to be several things when he grew up. Creativity, however, was his gift, so he poured his timeinto drawing, painting, writing, and music. Artemis' mother was a great inspiration and support system for his creative ventures, along with his sisters and his large and loving family in general. The character Mint is based on his only son and was conceived as a fun way to teach him some of the little lessons in life while also helping to show positive examples of character, conflict resolution, positivity, and more. As Artemis' son grew up, so did the characters of Mint, Flynn, and the world they inhabit. Now they are a series of books that started out as a simple act of love for his only child but now includes superheroes, space explorers, awesome robots, and more!
