After having endured 2 major heart surgeries within 70 days of eac other in 1999 and becoming divorced, his family persuaded him to return to Fresno and retire to a quiet life on the golf course. That lifestyle lasted 5 years until, at the age of 79, Arsen had impressed upon him by international motivational speaker and mentor Les Brown that he still had much to contribute in life, and Arsen has now shared the stage through speaking appearances with such notables as Les Brown, Lynn Rose, Jeff Eben, Bill Walsh, Gary Cox, and Dr. Robert Watts.
