Arlene Sager FreesemannArlene Sager Freesemann grew up in western Nebraska on a ranch by the Beaver Wall. She rode horseback eight miles to the country school she attended through eighth grade. She then boarded in town for four years of high school and in Alliance for one ear of nurses training. She married and moved to South Dakota and worked in several clinics as a nurse. Arlene stayed home to raise her five children. Just prior to retirement, she and her husband, Ron, moved to a country home by Lake Poinsett, SD. They built a handicap accessible home and cared for her brother, LeRoy, for five years and her mother, Sibyl, for three years.
