Arlene MacLeodArlene MacLeod was born in Massachusetts and grew up in New England. She earned her A.B. in government and history from Bowdoin College, and she holds a Ph.D in Political Science from Yale University. She currently teaches comparative politics and poitical theory at Bates College. She lives with her husband near the coast in Harpswell, Maine, where she enjoys walking, swimming, and painting.
