Arie L MelnickArie L. Melnik is professor emeritus of finance and economics at the University of Haifa. He received his MSc and PhD from Cornell University. In the past he taught at Michigan State University, Northwestern University, York University, University ofCalifornia, Berkeley, New York University, City University Business School, London, UK, and UNSW, Sydney, Australia. Melnik's major areas of interest are financial economics and economic history. He has contributed to major academic journals. In addition to academic work, Arie Melnik occupied several civic and business positions. He was a member of the Council for Higher Education. In addition, he was a board member of Bank Leumi.
