Aprille PappasAprille Pappas is the author of a cookbook and a television drama-comedy series (2009). Her diverse background includes television broadcasting, legal and medical marketing, and computer imaging. Her hobbies include cooking, baking, writing, and playng sports. Aprille was born in Michigan in the 1950's where she lived until after college when she pursued a career in television broadcasting early as a weather announcer in Traverse City, Michigan and soon after as a live daytime show host and a sports and commercial announcer in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Expansion of her career carved a path to Tallahassee Florida where she was a news anchor and news reporter. Her communication skills served her well when she transitioned to marketing and sales in both the medical and legal industries and the health insurance field in Philadelphia. After honing her skills even further, Aprille was ready to start her own business in a new technology; computer hairstyle imaging that provided top cosmetic companies with 'in-store' promotions and programs. As technology advanced, Aprille followed the trend when she transitioned her company to another new technology, cosmetic surgery imaging, a service that showed patients and cosmetic surgeons how plastic surgery could change the patient's appearance. The business paved the way for Aprille's Plastic Surgery Marketing Consulting firm that serviced surgeons nationwide. It was not until her press releases generated remarkable publicity for her business and clients, did Aprille realize the effectiveness of her writing skills and so she pursued her dream of writing a television show, a 26 episode television drama-comedy set in a veterinary center that aired on a major American network. Remarkably, the 5-year project inspired Aprille to try her hand at books. After outlining two books; a young adult novel and a non-fiction book she followed her passions for cooking and photography and went on to produce a beautifully photographed cookbook, Outrageous Oatmeal, Amazing Hot Otmeal Sensations about one of Aprille's favorite foods, oatmeal. Her zest for life and her love of people truly characterizes Aprille as a person. Her successes in consulting and business are largely attributed to her strong communication skills and her ability to bring out the best in people. One of her greatest joys aside from spoiling her grandchildren and caring for her family is watching the facial expressions on people as they enjoy her culinary creations! Read More Read Less
