Annie Klier NewcomerAnnie Klier Newcomer was born in Cheverly, Maryland, the middle child in a family of nine children. She grew up in Syracuse, New York. Her father, a graduate professor working in metallurgy, and her older brother, a distinguish professor of Russian Jwish studies at University College London, instilled in her a life-long quest for learning and teaching.
