Anne CawthornAnne worked as a nurse and lecturer in rehabilitation for 25 years. She moved into the field of cancer and palliative care thirteen years ago when she took up the post as Complementary Therapy Coordinator at the Neil Cliffe Cancer Centre and St Ann'sHospice. In 2000 Anne took up a joint post working as a Lecturer Practitioner with the Psycho- oncology team at the Christie Hospital and the University of Manchester. She worked closely with Peter and has been involved in the integration of innovative psychological techniques and complementary therapies into the field of cancer rehabilitation.Her teaching role involved being course leader for the cancer, palliative care and communications in practice modules. Her additional areas of interest include teaching healthcare professional to assess and manage patients sexual and body image concerns and teaching techniques to manage anxiety and phobias.
