Anna LombardoAnna Lombardo lives in Venice. Poet, translator and cultural activist. Degree from the Cà Foscari University of Venice with a PhD on the marginalization of female poetry at Trinity College in Dublin. Bilingual poetic collections: Even the Fish Are Drnk (2002); No Alibi (2004); That Something Missing (2009); Con candide mani (2020); Con cándidas manos (2023). She has edited the following anthologies: There Are Who Believe in Dreams (2014); 15x15 photography meets poetry (2020); The Translation at the Covid Time (2021). Since 2020, she has edited the four annual issues of Quaderni della Palabra, which collect the works of the poets participating in the Festival Palabra en el Mundo. She is a frequent guest at national and international festivals. She collaborates with Global Right, for which she has curated six interviews with contemporary international poets. Various authors' critical and translation works include A. Lowell, J. Hirschman, J. Lussu, PP. Pasolini, Chi Trung e Matt Sedillo. Her poems have been translated into multiple languages and have been published in national and international journals and anthologies. Since 2009, she has been the artistic director of the FIP (International Poetry Festival) Palabra en el Mundo for Venice, which welcomes various national and international voices annually.
