Anna CuffaroCarlo Goldoni was born in Venice in 1707. He studied Law in Pavia but was soon expelled from his College for having written a satirical tract about the people of Pavia. He continued his legal studies in Modena and finally graduated in Law in Padova. e started to practise in Chioggia but soon abandoned the profession in favour of the theatre. Goldoni had an extremely prolific theatrical career spanning over sixty years. He died in Paris in 1793. Read More Read Less
