Ann EdenThe author was born into a luxurious life-style in Vancouver, B.C. She attended private school with some of Vancouver's elite. Her father was a realtor and CEO; her mother was a social leader. They lived in a beautiful home with magnificent landscape gardens. A change in her father's health sent the family into a completely different life on a cattle ranch.After leaving the ranch, the author and her family moved back to the coast of B.C. and eventually to Vancouver Island. She married but her husband died suddenly; a second marriage ended in a divorce, but from that union came her only child - a son. She began a 30 year career in festival management and worked with celebrations throughout the Pacific Northwest, Alaska and Hawaii. She married a third time and with her husband, brother, son, and daughter-in-law, operates a family business.The author began working on 'Saddles & Sawdust' in 2000. After her parents passed, she found her mother's journal in an old trunk, and used much of that information to finish the book.
