Ann de ShalitAnn De Shalit is an assistant professor in the Department of Gender and Social Justice at Trent University. Her primary research uses labour and migrant justice approaches to expose the broadly defined impacts of anti-trafficking policy, discourse an practice. She has published peer-reviewed articles, community reports and a co-edited special journal issue on trafficking and has presented at numerous conferences and government consultations at all levels on the topic. She has taught an upper-year undergraduate course on human trafficking at York and Ontario Tech Universities. She has also been involved in community-based research, campaigns and publications in the areas of migration, sex work, precarious labour, prison health and harm reduction, housing, social work and police collaborations, and political advocacy by charities.
