Ann Avram HuberBorn in war-torn Romania shortly after WWII, Ann fled to Israel along with her family, and then they abruptly immigrated to Canada. She moved to the US at 19, another uprooting in her young life. Her extraordinary life of dealing with losses and secrts, and findinglove, is the subject of this moving memoir. After putting herself through law school, Ann practiced law for 33 years, most recently in the New Jersey Attorney General's Office. She was elected to the Randolph Township Council and served for several years, one as mayor. She studied at McGill University, Wayne State University, Rutgers University, and Rutgers Law School. She now volunteers at an animal shelter, does pro bono legal work with children at risk for deportation, and spends as much time as she can with her seven grandchildren.
