Angus TrumbleAngus Trumble (1964-2022) was senior research fellow at the National Museum of Australia and a former director of the National Portrait Gallery. He was senior curator of paintings and sculpture at the Yale Center for British Art, New Haven, Conn. untl January 2014. His previous books include Love and Death: Art in the Age of Queen Victoria (2001), A Brief History of the Smile (2004), The Finger: A Handbook (2010) and Edwardian Opulence: British Art at the Dawn of the Twentieth Century, co-edited with Andrea Wolk Rager (2013).
