He is founder of te Working Group on Soft Tissue Tumour Pathology at the European Society of Pathology, past President of the International Society of Bone and Soft Tissue Pathology, member of the WHO Working Group for the Classification of Tumours of Soft Tissue and Bone, Past President of the Connective Tissue Oncology Society, and faculty member of ESMO. He is also a member of the editorial boards of several scientific journals, and co-editor-in-chief of Clinical Sarcoma Research. He has published approximately 300 peer-reviewed articles.
