Andrés McKinleyThe author was born in the U.S., but has lived and worked in Central America since 1977 on issues related to social justice, human rights and sustainable development. Between 1969 and 1972, he worked as a school teacher in a rural village of northernLiberia. He possesses an undergraduate degree in psychology and a Masters degree in Health Administration. He currently works as an advisor on public policy advocacy and the environment for the Central American University (UCA) of the Jesuits in EL Salvador. The author has published 2 books on metallic mining ("The Threat of Metallic Mining in a Thirsty World"; "Myths and Reality of Metallic Mining in Central America") and a book on the water crisis in El Salvador.
