Andrew Phillips Andrew Phillips is Associate Professor in International Relations at the University of Queensland. His research concentrates primarily on the historical evolution of international orders since 1500. He is the author of War, Religion and Empire: The Tansformation of International Orders (Cambridge, 2011). His book with J. C. Sharman, International Order in Diversity: War, Trade and Rule in the Indian Ocean (Cambridge, 2015), was co-winner of the International Studies Association History Section's 2017 Francesco Guicciardini prize in Historical International Relations, and also co-winner of the 2017 American Political Science Association's International Politics and History best book prize.
